PATIENT SAINT worked his way forward on the outside when settled on the back stretch, overhauled] the leaders at the final turn, saved a lot of ground and withstood a drive gamely. BAD DREAMS, promU nent in the early running, came to the outside in the late stages and finished stoutly. NANCY MAE,-lacking racing room early, closed stoutly between horses in the final drive. ITALIAN HARRY bettered his position steadily in the last half mile and finished willinely. BRIGHT GEM could not stay whent challenged. SHALAKO had no excuses. GAY DAYS raced in "spots. COUNTER PASS raced poorly and can do better. HAPPY ROAD was used up forcing the pace and quit. DUNRITA was done earlyg CHIEF EVERGREEN had no speed.
