PREPARING FOR RICH PRIZES Crack Handicap Horses Now Training Over Hollywood Course. 0,000 Added Hollywood Cup Chief Feature of Coming Meeting on Coast-Main Track in Use. INGLEWOOD, Calif., May 4— Already on the grounds at Hollywood Park are several of the nations outstanding handicap horses which are in training for the second summer turf meeting, opening May 30. Such crack handicap stars as Maj. Austin C. Taylors Whichcee, Louis B. Mayers Main Man, A. A. Earonis Specify, N. S. McCarthys Today, Nelson A. Howards Gosum, B. P. Woodsons Leading Article, Robert Riskins Dogaway, Circle M Ranchs Speed to Spare, Binglin Stock Farms Ligaroti and Don Mike, . Kenaston and Philpots First Kiss, G. W. Strat-tons High Lark, Everett Riskins Dah He, and R. C. Ellsworths Arigotal, are here and can be seen progressing in their morning training trials. NINETEEN STAKES. Nineteen rich stakes, topped by the 0,000 added Hollywood Gold Cup, are providing the lure to bring the best racers to Hollywood Park. First big event on the summer program is the ,500 added Hollywood Premiere Handicap, at six furlongs. This race is expected to draw a sprint field of such class that the track record of 1:11 flat will be in grave danger. More than 150 unraced two-year-olds, many of which are products of the countrys leading thoroughbred farms, are being prepared for their racing debuts during the forty-four day summer session. The main track, which was thrown open to horses last week, has been given the official okay by all of the horsemen on the grounds, while the new five furlongs training track has also been the scene of training activity in the past few weeks.
