LAST HOP SCORES AT BEULAH Closes Courageously to Defeat Jack Greenock by Half -Length — Ann Star Victorious. GROVE CITY, Ohio, May 4.— Aldrich and Winans Last Hop accounted for the Tyler and Galbraith trophy, best offering at Beulah Park this afternoon. Closing courageously on the outside of Jack Greenock through the stretch, the son of Witchmount eventually scored by a half length victory over the early leader. Jack Greenock in turn was hard pressed nearing the end to stall off the fast finishing Busse Trumpet. "Buck" Tyler made the presentation of the trophy to Johnny Winans, the trainer of Last Hop. Favorable conditions prevailed and with the improvement in the weather, came a marked improvement in the attendance which was the best of the week. It was only after a rousing stretch run that Ann Star outstayed Josie Jane to annex the fifth and Brown Ray registered a similar victory in the second dash. However, Enchilada and Fclawake both won with considerable to spare. Da-Nc-Bc left the maiden ranks by capturing the fourth handily.
