1 JAMAICA TURF NOTES j „ • B. F. Stutts, trainer of the horses owned by Mrs. Emerich, of Chicago, was removed 1 to the Mary Immaculate Hospital, Thursday IT morning, for an appendicitis operation. James Fitzsimmons left for Louisville to saddle Johnstown in the Kentucky Derby for the Belair Stud of William Woodward. Jockey Nick Wall packed his tack and took off for Louisville to ride El Chico in the Derby for owner W. J. Ziegler. William Woodward and some members of his family will go to Louisville to witness Johnstown run in the Derby. Jockey R. Donoso, under contract to the Wheatley Stable, returned from Maryland, where he rode for the past two weeks. Jockey Wayne Wright returned from Pim-lico, where he rode Pompoon on Wednesday. H. F. Guggenheim, who races under the nom de course of the Falaise Stable, was among the clubhoure crowd during the afternoon. Steeplechase devotees will go to Belmont Park on Saturday morning to witness the schooling of jumpers over the main course. Jockey Eddie Arcaro, due to stake engagements here, declined the mount on Technician in the Derby on Saturday. He was asked by owner H. M. Woolf to ride the colt. I .
