Coyle, Texas horseman who is campaigning a string here, returned from a business trip to the Lone Star State. He is very optimistic over the prospects for the return of racing in Texas. Trainer Dune McDermid reported that Blind Pig would not start in the Bristol Handicap on Saturday. The gelding, favorite in the Lexington Purse Wednesday, went to his knees at the start and cut a quarter so badly that he will be laid up for some time. Jockey J. G. Wilson, who rode Be Blue to victory in the Spring Handicap for T. H. Heard, Jr., will again be aboard the filly in the Bristol Handicap, Saturdays feature.
