4 r~ - - -t W.E. SNYDER BUYS LOSTAGALj I FROM MRS. CECIL GREGORY | * . ■ ■ ■ - - A LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 4.— Lostagal, an outsider in the Kentucky Derby field, was purchased from Mrs. Cecil Gregory of Indianapolis here this afternoon by W. E. Snyder of Chicago for an undisclosed sum. It was stated that the chestnut son of Hadagal would be among the contestants in the sixty-fifth renewal of the race Saturday should the footing be in an off condition. The transaction was completed by J. R. "Red" Gregory, who has conditioned a number of horses for the Chicagoan for several years, and the Indiana turfman will continue to do the training of the much improved three-year-old. Gregory expressed satisfaction over the showing made by Lostagal in the Derby Trial earlier in the week, but believes his charge is best suited by a muddy or heavy track. If Lostagal is a starter in the Derby he will race in the interest of his new owner.
