Horsec from some of the most famous racing stables in the countrywill be at Lincoln Fields this year to take part in the meeting which opens on May 25. Requests for stall reservations have come in from all over the country and from the caliber of stables which are to be represented here, high qual-iy sport is assured for the season at the Crete track. One of the biggest strings on the ground will be the Valdina Farms establishment of Emerson F. Woodward. The Valdina horses will make Lincoln Fields their headquarters, although the good three-year-old Viscounty and several others in the stable may be shipped away from time to time to fill stakes engagements elsewhere. In all, the Texas-owned stable will have thirty-six horses at Lincoln Fields under the direction of trainer J. J. Flanigan. BENEMARKS LARGE BAND. Mrs. Emil Denemark* of Chicago is to be represented here this spring and expects to have as many as eighteen horses on the grounds. Her stable is raced in two divisions and the one which takes part in the Crete meeting is expected to include nominees for many of Lincoln Fields eleven stakes. Three other powerful Chicago stables which have reservations at Lincoln Fields are those of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars, P. A. and R. J. Nash and John Marsch. Among the many other prominent own- ers and trainers who have requested stall room at the Crete course are Joseph E. Widener, Robert McGarvey, James Graham Brown, W. F. Morgan, E. E. Fogelson, Kirby Ramsey, Theodore E. Mueller, Roscoe Goose. Morris Vehon, Jake Lowenstein, Edward Haughton, C. E. Davison, Bryant Ott, How- ard Wells, Howard Oots, J. R. Gregory, *Wil liam Curran, C. H. Ferguson, Frank Letel- lier, Leo Beyda, Dr. E. F. Bennett, Clyde Van Dusen, Dan Lehan and William Causey.
