WILL PROVIDE 800,000 MEN LONDON, England, May 4.— Great Britains conscription bill will provide 800,000 j new men for the army within three years, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain told the House of Commons today. Moving the second and decisive reading of the bill, Chamberlain said: "There can be no doubt that the determination of the British people, as evidenced in this bill, has created the most profound respect throughout Europe." The British army at present is estimated at about 450,000, including the territorials. Thus, according to Chamberlains figure, the army should stand at 1,250,000 within three years. This docs not include colonial troops.
