SHIPBOARD assumed command during the run down the backstretch, gave way momentarily to INDIAN FIRE nearing the final hurdle, came again when shaken and won drawing away. INDIAN FIRE alternated in setting and pressing the early pace, regained the lead on the far turn, but was unable, to withstand the top one when the real test came. WATCH DOG was unable to improve his position when briskly ridden through the late stages. IMBURSED rallied too late to become an endangering factor. CHEE OAKS was unable to keep up. JOY K. and ROY PRINCE failed to stay. OBERON never threatened. CHASED AGAIN was unable to attain the lead and tired. MOTIGER was outrun. ROZS BEAU stopped badly once displaced.
