Almy Clarifies Appointment SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 17. — William Almy, -Jr., steward at Suffolk Downs, wishes to make clear the recent announcement of his appointment as steward at the impending Scarborough Downs meeting. Almy was approached by officials of the Maine track for assistance in lieu of the absence to be created by George Palmer who will go to Scarborough following the close of Delaware Park on July 4. Palmer is the. starter at the Delaware oval and moves into the stewards stand at the Maine oval. Following the close of the current Suffolk Downs meeting on June 26, Almy will go to Maine and remain there only until it is time for him to proceed to his next regular assignment at Randall Park. The Ohio track opens a 1 44-day meeting on July 18.
