The city of Medina is to be honored and the featured seventh race "will be named, after that Ohio town. The race is for a ,200. purse and is scheduled at six furlongs. Eight horses have been named overnight to face starter William Schamerhorn. E. F. Lovelaces Roaming Oscar, a fine-looking gelded son of Osculator— Roman Tea, will be making his second start of the Cranwood Park meeting. On June 11, going six furlongs, he wound up third, beaten a length and one-half for all the money by Carters Pride and Barts Enegry. In that race, Roaming Oscar raced forwardly from the outset while dueling with Barts Enegry, but tired in the final three-sixteenths of a mile. However, there is nothing in the Medina to come close to the above mentioned two, and Roaming Oscar should have things pretty well to his liking. If he does nail down winning honors, it will be his initial tally of the season in 10 starts. Last year, he visited the winners enclosure six times in 18 trips to the post and was "on thev board" five other times. „ Slated to meet the Lovelace colorbearer are Battlebuz, Sickle Star, Besiege, Red Shirt, Little Foxey, Dark Ned and Santow. Besiege is owned by the Cleveland sportswoman, Mrs. Ellsworth H. Augustus, and in his only race over this track, finished last at four furlongs. This son of Blenheim n. was never cut out to be a sprinter and should improve greatly in this event. Last season at Randall Park, Besiege went through the meeting without scoring a victory, but was running creditably against the likes of Secret Thread, Isotope, Crownlet and Moose Eye. Probably his best race at Randall came on August 29 when at six furlongs he finished fourth to Dance Routine, beaten three and one-quarter lengths in the fine time of 1:12%.
