Donn Visits at Belmont; Comments on Rotation Bill BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 17. — James Donn, president of Gulfstream Park, visited Belmont Park today, accompanied by Mrs. Donn. The Floridian reported that work has already started on the racing strip at the Hallandale track, which is being completely resurfaced. In commenting on the recent veto by Gov. Dan McCarty of a bill which would have rotated the favorable middle dates between Gulfstream, Hialeah and Tropical Parks, Donn said: "It was not my bill. It was introduced by Senator Pepper and others who were tired of the domination of one group. We are going to continue to do all right at Gulfstream, although I am worried about having enough horses for the final days of the meeting and Im disappointed at the action of the racing commission, which insists that five of the six allowed charity days be held late in the meeting."
