New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 17. Trainer Eddie Kelly arrived from Mon-! mouth Park to saddle Brookfield Stables j Isasmoothie in todays Yankee Handicap. | According to the popular conditioner, the ! Rosemont-Blue Line colt will be returned j to the New Jersey oval either tomorrow or | Friday morning, depending on how he comes out of the race. George Poole, assistant Greentree Stable trainer here with Powhatan, will supervise the loading of the colts return to Belmont Park tomorrow morning. King Ranchs Kamehameha was saddled for the Yankee by Eddie Legere in the absence of Max Hirsch. Sylvester Veitch phoned racing secretary "Eb" Pons* this morning to make arrangements for Grover Noel to saddle C. V. Whitneys Fly Wheel in the big race. Trainer Augie Hutchins reports that his employer Jim Beattie, -will be represented in the impending stakes events at Monmouth Park. W. J. Beattie, Washington, R. I., owner and breeder, was in an automobile accident,-near his home and is confined to a hospital. One of the worlds most famed collections of rare clocks, the "Old Charter Clock Collections" including many priceless timepieces will be on display at the Suffolk Downs paddock club Saturday. The collections include works of historys most celebrated clock makers ranging from the Viennese Pendulette, the worlds smallest pendulum -clock, to the great gilded Louis XIV clock, the latter being the work of Julien Leroy, clockmaker to the French court in 1740. This priceless and irreplaceable collection of antiques will be shown in all major cities of the nation. Nancy and Judy Wynhoff, twin daughters of George Wynhoff, owner-trainer who has his racing string at Suffolk Downs, arrived here and will vacation in New England for thejsummer. The twins have been attending school in Wisconsin.
