Dodgers Sign College Star BROOKLYN, N. Y., June 17 UP . — The Brooklyn Dodgers today announced . the signing of John McKinnon, 22-year-old righthanded pitcher who starred for Boston College in baseball and football during the last three years. McKinnon, who won two games in the recent NCAA baseball tournament at Omaha, was assigned to Pueblo, Colo., the Dodger farm club in the class A Western league.
