PASS BON galloped off a short distance while being warmed up during the post parade, broke alertly and was steadied within striking distance, then rallied smartly to wear down FLEET ARGO. The latter was always formidable, attained command in midstretch and just missed. PROMPTNESS closed with good energy. BEE A H. was hard pressed for the lead and gave way. STAR Z. raced in close attendance to the pace, attained command from the outside when straightened for the stretch run, then drew clear to win handily. ETERNAL SIR was no match for the winner after having been responsible for the pace. BEA MARONY was just commencing her rally when carried wide by DOCTEUR. The latter was shuffled back along the inside on the turn, then raced quite wide when taken to the outside. KEEPING POSTED dueled forthe lead through the opening half-mile and faltered. LITTLE GREG, under stout restraint while formidable early, assumed command and drew clear on the final turn, then was no match. GAY COUNT rallied in the late stages after being far back.
