Plesa Still Far in Front CRANWOOD PARK, Warrensville Heights, Ohio, June 17. — Jockey Eddie Plesa has a comfortable lead after the first seven racing days in his quest for leading riding honors. Although being shut out on yesterdays program Plesa still leads Buck Thornburg by six victories. Plesa has won 15 faces and Thornburg, after scoring a triple yesterday, has nine. The leading apprentice rider is Gardner Darlington who is under contract to George Morrison. Young Darlington, who hails from Charles Town, has won himself five races.
