PNUT VENDOR gradually worked way forward, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and wore down the leaders in the last strides. LEADING MAN took command at once, set the pace until near the finish, but could not withstand the winner. SEGURO, outrun early, finished fast under punishment CONNIE-JO gave a good effort and had no mishap. FREE LUNCH lacked early speed. ODDS ADVANCE engaged LEADING MAN to the final furlong, then weakened. LIABILITY was never dangerous. HUMPHREY showed nothing. FLAMING TERA tired after racing well to the stretch. ETERNAL SHOCK, a keen factor from the outset, disposed of TOP-LATION and established a good lead before entering the stretch, then drew clear to Win with speed in reserve. The latter began fast, gave way to ETERNAL SHOCK, but continued willingly to best the others. UNCLE BERNIE lacked early foot, but finished strongly. ABLE LADD had no mishap. BATTLE HERO took an early lead, set the pace for five-eighths mile, then faltered when challenged by COUNTESS IN. FERN GOLD raced well and had no mishap. DEEP BLUE lacked early speed. SHAG TAILS, forwardly placed from the start, was caught in close quarters after passing the furlong pole, responded to smart handling while racing between horses and was up in the last strides. LITTLE DONOR, away fast, dropped back after the start, worked way forward after the initial quarter mile and closed fast on the extreme outside but could not withstand the winner, just missing. LIGHT MOON took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, drifted to the outside while tiring and tightened up the field, then failed to stay. LIGHT MOON was disqualified for the stretch foul and placed fourth. SLIPPER SATIN, never far back, was roughed during the jam caused by LIGHT MOON during the drive and failed to stay after the mishap. SPEED OLIGHT began sluggishly and was never dangerous. FUGITIVE tired after showing early foot. PASSING JACK could not keep up and was not persevered with when hopelessly beaten. Overweight— Passing Jack, 5 pounds. For late charts see tomorrows issue
