HBPA Central Division I Holds Election Today Vice-Presidency Two-Sided Race With Kohout and Beck Running HAWTHORNE, Cicero, til., June 17.— . The election of officers of the Horsemens s Benevolent and Protective Association for r the coming year will take place at three 5 tracks Thursday. Balloting will be held at t Hawthorne, where the Lincoln Fields meeting is in progress, from 8:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m.; at Washington Park from 8:00 a. m. .. to 10:30 a. m.; and at Fairmount Park, ■, near East St. Louis, from 8:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. The race for vice-president will be a two-sided affair with Joseph Kohout and John F. Beck standing for elections, Joseph Kroeck, C. C. Norman, and H. G. Bock-man having withdrawn. Of the original nominees for the committee in the owners division, Elmo Jordan, recently elected president of the Illinois Thoroughbred Breeders Association, is out, as is James Dunn. In a committee division for trainers there has been but one withdrawal, that being Harold Hoffman, former secretary-treasurer of the central division.
