Kiner Gets ,000 Bonus _ From Pittsburgh Pirates Slugger Ralph Kiner got a ,000 bonus from his old team, the Pittsburgh Pirates, yesterday. Kiner, who has hit more home runs than any right handed batter in National league history, 307, was traded, to the. Chicago Cubs, June 4. Before the deal was made, league president Warren Giles required him to sign a new Pittsburgh contract eliminating a clause which guaranteed him ,000 if he was sold or traded. President Branch Rickey of the Pirates-honored the clause, anyhow. He requested the Cubs to deduct ,000 from the sum paid to Pittsburgh in the deal and give it to Kiner. He was presented with the check by the Cubs yesterday.
