Big Day for Hubbard, Serido RIVER DOWNS, California, Ohio, June 17. — Tuesday, June 16, will long be remembered by a pair of apprentice riders active at River Downs. William Hubbard and Benny Serido rode the first winners of their careers here oh Tuesday with Hubbard first to break the ice in the fifth race aboard Gale Osbornes Your Habit. Serido then piloted Jerry Brandows Bleary Bob home in front in the seventh race for his first winner, Hubbard is a 21-year-old Hoosier who has attracted lots of attention locally with his alertness in the gate while Serido hails from Plainfield, N. J., and is 20. Both riders will remain for the rest of the local season. ,
