RAVIOLI, a sharp factor from the start, forged to the front inside the stretch and, under adept handling, held CHUM safe. The latter, always within striking distance, came fast when roused for the drive andjinished with good courage. HOME FLEET took command with a rush after being straightened for the stretch run, but tired when punished. ROMANIUM failed to sufficiently respond when called upon for his best effort. INSOMNIA passed tiring horses. CHANSON was unable to keep up. ROY PRINCE quit. SPOOL raced wide. FIDDLERS GIRL was outrun. WOODVALE HILLS never threatened. . .... ... . , ,.. The latter swerved during the early stretch run, but closed resolutely when straightened and rapidly was overtaking the winner. CURLY JOE, slow to gain best stride, rallied too late to become an endangering factor. COVETED tired when punished. CAVALRY CHARGE had a rough trip. CALICO CREEK was unable to keep up. The latter, never far back, was unable to reach the leader when hard hustled through the final furlong.
