DONNA BOORSE, unhurried when outrun early, responded to punishment after being sent to the inside for the drive and was up in the concluding stride to outgame WHISK-OFF. The latter held sway to the furlong marker under energetic handling, then held on tenaciously in a sharp effort. TOP BET moved up boldly on the outside at the furlong marker, but tired when called upon fo rhis best effort. BOMBAST reached near even terms for the lead entering the stretch, then weakened.
