FLAG REQUEST raced well in the late stages. ORB failed to seriously threaten. RUGGED BOY was a factor to the stretch and quit. ANN DEL flattened out badly. BAYOU WAIF was in front briefly and quit. QUICK IMP outsprinted BURNT LIPS for command after the opening quarter, drew clear to late stretch and was under urging while holding the opposition safe. HI-ROCK moved boldly to become a factor and continued on willingly. TOD MANLEY was forced to steady briefly along the inside nearing the stretch, moved boldly to loom a threat and hung in the final strides. EVAS WAR outfinished GLADFOOTE. The latter quit after attaining prominence on the turn. LIBERTY STAR retired early, as did BURNT LIPS. OIL GENE showed nothing. JACKLYN was a factor briefly. CADENCE COUNT BLED FROM THE NOSTRILS AFTER HAVING LUNGED INTO THE GATE AND WAS EXCUSED. THERE WAS A CONSOLATION DAILY DOUBLE OF 1.20 AND ALL OTHER WAGERS ON CADENCE COUNT WERE REFUNDED.
