Bassett at Hamilton Track HAMILTON, Ohio, Aug. 17. Ike Bassett, Midwest representative of the Jockeys Guild, was on hand for the opening of this half-mile course just outside, of Cincinnati. Bassett inspected the jockey quarters, toured the racing strip, made arrangements for emergency hospitalization of Guild members and supervised the election of the Guild representatives for the 10-day Hamilton meeting. Of the 28 riders registered here 24 are members of the Guild.
