Randal! Agrees to Allow Use Of Stalls for ThistleDown RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, Aug. 17. Irving Gushen, national president of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, announced here late Saturday evening that he and Saul Silber-man, president of the Randall Park Jockey Club, had entered an agreement whereby ThistleDown could use the Randall Park stabling area for their meeting which opens on September 11. ThistleDown will rent the stall space from Randall Park and this will alleviate a great hardship on the local horsemen who were faced with the problem of either shipping to other points or stabling at Grand-view trotting track during the ThistleDown meeting due to their limited stall space. Gushen stated that his meeting with Silberman was one of the most pleasant he has ever had with a track head during his service with the hrosemens group and also expressed thanks to Dave R. Jones, vice-president of this track and to Elmer F. Vickers, the general manager. Attending the meeting along with Gushen were Stuart Bullock, secretary of the Ohio division of the HBP A; Ray Pollock, vice-president of this division; C. B. Fischbach, Norman L. Haymaker, Doug Davis, Jr., Eddie Moran, and Lloyd Gentry.
