- Thirteen Top Grass Racers Among 46 Named for Dixie BALTIMORE, Md., May 5.— Thirteen of the nations top grass performers are among the 46 nominations to the 54th run-jning of the Dixie Handicap~at Pimlico on Saturday, May 21. This year, for the first time, fhe Dixie will be run over the turf course of the Maryland Jockey Club rather than on the main track, where it has been contested since 1870. Eligibles for the Dixie who have raced well on grass include Fisherman, Iceberg IT, Brush Burn, Cascanuez, Capeador, County Glare, Great Captain, Kaster, Mister Black, News Again, Parnassus, Royal Governor and St. Vincent. Also named for the Dixie are the handicap stars Social Outcast, Royal Bay Gem, Joe Jones and Maharajah. The Dixie this season is endowed with 5,000 in added money and will be decided at one mile and three-eighths. When they raced on the main course, the Dixie was at one mile and three-sixteenths. The last renewal was won by Greentree Stables Straight Face. - ■ . , *
