CHARA went to the front early and, setting the pace under light rating, had something left when PANADE challenged in the last fifty yards. The latter was always closest to the leader and came steadily through the stretch to be gaining slowly. BOOKWORM was fairly well up throughout and finished steadily. BEYLERBEY went evenly. ARMED TRUCE was badly outrun all the way. MOCK BATTLE was far back throughout in a dismal effort. . Scratched— 468223 close Out, 115. RESIGNED followed TAOS CROSS under good rating to the stretch turn, then went to the front to pull out in the last sixteenth. TAOS CROSS displayed good form in making the pace but was weakening at the end. LADY OF CHANCE came to the inside on the stretch turn to , move up and was going well at the end. GALLANT D. raced evenly. REMORSEFUL had early speed. RED ROCK closed much ground. SKIPJACK was badly outrun-early, but was going fairly well at the finish. QUICK MISSION had his chance to take command in the first half mile, but was . uanble to get to the front and weakened in the stretch. The others had no apparent excuse.
