Edwards Arrives at Fairmount FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville. 111., May 5. — James F. Edwards, chairman of the West Virginia Racing Commission and president of the Fairmount Park Jockey Club, arrived from his home in Huntington, W. Va., and mapped out plans for the opening with general manager Ray C. Ben-ningsen and A. R. "Snooks" Winters. Mrs. Edwards accompanied her husband here and graciously agreed to present the winr ner of the featured Inaugural Purse with a horse blanket. Because of business pressure Mr. Edwards is not expected to remain here more than a week.
