HYPOSTYLE was well up in the. first part and improving his position after going half the trip, came to the inside of WOODVIEW ACE in the stretch to forge to the front and win under hand riding. SPECIFIC was never far away and lost some ground in the stretch but finished well. WOODVIEW ACE drew into a rather lengthy lead in the first three-eighths,, but tired in the stretch. BUTTE made up some ground. THISTLE WAR failed to be a serious contender. NILE PRINCE had some early foot. The latter set the pace and disposed of DRUIDS LYRICS in the first six furlongs, but failed to have enough left. MARTIAL SONG weakened in the stretch after having made a mild challenge. DRUIDS LYRICS tired. FAST MOTION was closest to TIGER TRIP while the latter was making the early pace and, getting to the front on the backstretch, widened her advantage but was all out at the end. TIGER TRIP continued well after being headed, and despite showing a tendency to .lug in during the stretch run, was pressing the winner. TEDDYS REVIEW went rather wide but was well up throughout. WHITS ROSE was slow to get in stride and, while finishing fairly well, was not dangerous. STAY COOL went very wide on the second turn. HOOPDEDONT moved up strongly after going a quarter, and coming steadily through the stretch wore down BARBARA L. to win drawing out. The latter headed the field nearing the stretch turn to take a good lead, but was doing her best to save second place. BLUE FAY was never far away and went gamely to the end. COCOA AL appeared to hang in the final drive. HEAD FOR HOME was never a threat. SAINT NICHOLAS was in close quarters entering the backstretch. MOONDOG was reserved for a half mile,, then came strongly and wore down BILL PAC in the stretch to hold CLOSE OUT. The latter raced rather wide in the first part and was outrun to the stretch, .then came fast on the outside and was gaining. BILL PAC assumed a rather lengthy advantage nearirig the stretch turn, but was tiring at the end. HAPPY QUEEN made a mild move nearing the far turn, but faltered in the final drive. The latter -responded well to urging in the stretch and was gaining. CROSS RING vied with NYMPHS PRIDE for the early leadership and outgamed the latter in the final drive. HEUTEL raced steadily but failed to offer a serious threat. UMBRELLA MAN was close enough early; then weakened. HEREDITY was rather badly outrun.
