FRENCH ADMIRAL saved ground while being held under snug restraint, came to the outside to make his bid on entering the stretch and wore down the leaders a sixteenth out. BENEZL forced the early pace while in hand, moved up on the outside to wrest command a furlong away but was unable to withstand the belated challenge of the winner. HILL STREET made the pact under good rating, saved ground and gave way suddenly, KENSINGTON TED was never a factor. RISDON wac through early. MR. F. was always far back.
