s Jerry Kirby Arrival at Ak-Sar-Ben OMAHA, Nebr., May 5. — Jerry Kirby, a veteran Ak-Sar-Ben campaigner and one of Nebraskas leading breeders of thoroughbred racing stock, arrived at the Omaha plant with eight horses, which will see action in the 35-day Ak-Sar-Ben meeting, starting Thursday, May 19. Kirbys Bean Bloom and Denver Lady were -winners here last year. Kirby, who owns a breeding farm at David City, Nebr., won the 1953 Ak-Sar-Ben Futurity with Sergeant Sam, by Sir Herbert Barker, out of Samoa Girl. He has nominated three Nebraska-bred two-year-olds for the 1955 running of the Futurity? They are Dennys Pal, Parker and Custard.
