LAP FULL, well placed from the start, raced by OIL PAINTING after entering the stretch and drew clear, winning with something left. OIL PAINTING went to the front early, set the pace until inside the stretch but was unable to stay with LAP FULL. BLUE VIOLIN, forced slightly wide at the stretch turn, was unable to better her position when set down in the drive. JENJAY was outrun and had no excuse. BUBBLEY began slowly and was never dangerous. HALARAB took command early, set the pace to the stretch under steady rating, then responded readily when set down in the drive and retained a clear advantage to the finish. MAY LEE H., in hand to the last quarter mile, closed strongly under urging but could not get to the . winner. JO-CLARE began sluggishly but finished well under punishment. TINY HARP, well placed from the start, made a good bid in the early stretch, then weakened. WINDSOR KNOT was outrun and had no excuse. DADDYS DOG raced nearest HALARAB to the stretch, then quit.
