■ Switch Expected to Start-In Inaugural at Ak-Sar-Ben OMAHA, Nebr., May 9. — A swift Arizona thoroughbred called Switch may show his heels to a crack field -of horses in the ,000 Ak-Sar-Ben Inaugural Handicap, opening day feature of the 1956 Ak-Sar-Ben race meeting starting Tuesday, May 22. Owner Mike Craney and trainer Cliff Holmstrom, both of Phoenix, have high hopes for their good-looking six-year-old son of Alorter. The big brown gelding has won three already this year in Arizona racing. He won a handicap and an allowance feature at Arizona Downs, and outran the classy Mr. Favor to capture the Inaugural Handicap at Turf Paradise. In 1955 racing he had four wins, five seconds and four thirds in 13 starts. Others in the Arizonr string are Fine Day and Indicator.
