RING CHAMP, within easy striking distance of the leaders, became a more definite threat entering the stretch and scored narrowly over GALLANT TONTO. The latter rallied from just off the pace to attain command and field on gamely. HERALD WIND dropped back to the stretch and were down tireel horses. IDLE MEMORY weakened after having been responsible -for the pace. FLAPPER weakened early. TIP IL broke badly and showed nothing. s BELLATOR turned in a miserable effort. ST. MICHAELS broke, down.
