California Board Does NotTake Action on Vets Application LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 9. — The Calif ornia .Horse Racing Board wound up its two-day May session on Tuesday without taking definite action on the application for a veterinarians license by Dr. Lucius McGee. An application for a 1955 license had been disapproved by the board of stewards of both Santa Anita and Golden Gate because of an allegation that Dr. McGee had "nerved" a horse in the Del Mar stable area. Dr. McGee contends that the operation was performed outside the stable area, while the horse was in transit to Mexico City from whence he has not been returned to this country. The board also ratified a program of 12 races per day at the coming California State Fair at Sacramento and ratified the use of the Taily Double at both the San Joaquin County Fair and the Humboldt County Fair. The appointment of Henry E. Craft as plate inspector for the 1956 fair racing circuit was also approved.
