MASKED BUD, away slowly, worked his way forward steadily, responded to strong urging when straightened in the stretch, wore down the leaders in the final sixteenth and won drawing away. DOMINUS WITCH, well up from the start, was shuffled back at the stretch turn, but came fast when steered to the inside. LIFELIKE, unable to improve its early position, closed with a rush. ESCOMUR, allowed to drop back after five-sixteenths, came again on the inside in the stretch, but tired in the last stages. ANGELITA, used up in the pace, tired in the final eighth. BILLY MOLE dropped back in the drive. CLASPINO dropped far out of contention and showed a dull effort. Scratched 39342 Owitch, 98. EPI WITCH, saved for five-eighths, took command when ready and drew away rapidly, but tired in the drive. DARK MIST had no mishaps. MARIOLET raced evenly. RICH GIRL was eased when her rider broke a stirrup iron. Overweight Para Four, 1 pound.
