APRONETTE rushed into a clear lead early, responded to strong urging when threatened, but tired near the end. ABLE ABE hustled along from the start, bore out entering the stretch and tired thereafter. PHOTOGRAPHY failed to keep up. IRISH WAKE was done after five-sixteenths. ZEKIEL hustled to the front, was unable to draw clear, swung wide entering the stretch, responded rapidly when straightened and won easily. HIGH BOTTOM, unable to improve its early position, moved up fast in the drive and finished strongly. OUR JOHNNY, outrun early, improved his position fast on the Inside in the stretch, but tired near the end. ELIZABETH T a strong factor from the start and on the inside, forged to the front when the winner raced wide, but tired fast in the final sixteenth. PLAYMAY was done after a half mile. METAURUS, away fastest, gave way soon afterward, moved up fast on the outside approaching the final half mile, forged to the front soon afterward, was unable to draw clear, but withstood NORMAN D. The latter worked his way forward steadily and finished strongly. THE REW improved his position fast after nine-sixteenths, weaved his way through the field in the final eighth and closed with a rush. LEROS was hustled along from the start and was on the inside in the last eighth. SCYTHE tired. SYNOD made up ground. ANY CHANCE and IMPERIAL MARYAN quit. Overweight Howard G., 1 pound. WHISKING, away fast, was shuffled back soon afterward, was unable to Improve Its position for a: half mile, then responded fast when sent to the outside in the final eighth and got up in the final stride. AMAZING, away slowest and outrun for a half mile, weaved his way through the field when reaching the lead and tired near the end. SLAVONIA hustled along from the start, subdued STOP SCOUT after three-eighths, swung wide entering the stretch, but came again when straightened. STOP SCOUT took command at once from outside of the stalls, gave way when challenged, saved ground entering the stretch, came again approaching the final eighth, but tired in the last stages. CROUT AU POT closed with a rush. JUDGE LEER tired after offering a bold bid nearing the final eighth. CHERRY CHIC quit. WISE BESSA showed little. EMPTY BOTTLE rushed to the front, drew clear after a quarter, established a good advantage rapidly, responded to strong urcing in the stretch and outfinished THE FIGHTER. The latter, probably much the best snd away fast, was saved for five-sixteenths, improved his position rapidly when ready, lugged in badly in the stretch, came fast when straightened and would have been up in another stride. BOSTON SOUND, a strong factor from the start, held on under strong pressure. WOODLANDER closed with a rush. GALL1ENNE was outrun. TRANSMUTABLE tired after improving its position. HOPTOIT, away slowly from outside the stalls, was in close quarters nearing the final half mile, improved its position when sent to the outside and finished strongly. BARRETTE, used up in reaching the lead, tired after a mile. HOME WORK had a rough trip. NOCTURNLABE quit. MANLY was done alter five-eighths.
