FIGURES FOR EPSOM DOWNS Recent Meeting at Houston Reported Big Financial Success. Mrs. A. M. Creech Heads Money-Winning Owners With ,735 Henry Hauer Tllots 24 Winners. The recent Epsom Downs meeting at Houston, Texas, starting March 3 and ending March 27, was the most successful financially, according to reports, in the history of the track. The period included twenty-two racing days and the operating organization gave away 01,500 for a daily average distribution of prizes amounting to ,613.64. Thirty-five per cent of the favorites in the 176 races decided, won. Mrs. A. M. Creech and C. E. Davison had a fairly close race for money-winning honors among the owners, with Mrs. Creech winding up at the top of the list with a total of ,735. Davison won ,145. Salaam was the chief prize winner among the horses with ,200 to his credit, while Henry Hauer piloted twenty-four winners to head the riders list.
