MILKY WAY FARM STABLE Powerful Establishment of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars in Fine Fettle at Arlington Downs. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 3. With no losses from the powerful aggregation which won the most money during 1936 and augmented by fifteen juveniles, many of which brought top prices at the Saratoga auctions, Mrs. Ethel V. Mars Milky Way Farm appears well fortified to make another bid for the coveted honor. Topped by Reaping Reward, conqueror of Pompoon in the Narragansett Futurity and winner of the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, the establishment also contains Military, one of the leading three-year-olds of Santa Anita racing; Case Ace, winner of the Arlington Futurity; Dogaway, one of the best juveniles last year; Nations Taste, Sangreal, Galla Clay, Whiskolo, Mars Shield, Not Asleep, High Pressure, Minstrel Show, The Tribesman, Fast Express, The Fighter, and the two-year-olds Lofty Manners, War Bride, John On, Harriet Ann, Farrell, C. Note, Sky Larking, Mountain Ridge, Well Rewarded, Rigor, Winged Victory, Fire Marshall, Quick Getaway, Hourby Hour and Carefully. GETS LONG REST. After his smashing victory in the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, Reaping Reward was sent to the farm at Pulaski, Tenn., where he was given a good rest. He joined the California division of the stable here several weeks ago and was ready to go right along in his training. Ho has done several good miles and this morning in company with Military breezed an easy six furlongs over the heavy track in 1:21. Trainer Robert McGarvey expects to have him under colors before the Texas Derby, but that is his first objective. McGarvey plans on sending him to Churchill Downs following the running of the local classic and he will have his final preparation for the Kentucky Derby over the Louisville track.
