OFFICIALS FOR KEENELAND" Substantially the Same as for In augural Meeting in 1936. Substitution of rierre Lorillard, Jr., fot C. J. FItzGcrald, Jr., as Presiding Steward Principal Change. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 3. With but few exceptions, the same staff of officials will be in charge of Keenelands racing as was the case for the inaugural meeting last fall. The principal change is the selection of Pierre Lorillard, Jr., as the presiding steward to succeed C. J. FitzGerald, Jr. Other stewards will come from among il A. Beard, Brownell Combs, C. Barry Shannon, W. Arnold Hangar, John O. Keenc, Charles Nuckols, Charles G. Middleton and Roy Carruthers. Charles McLennan is the racing secretary and handicapper, but as he will be unable to be present during all of the meeting, his office will be in charge of Sidney S. Brown, who also will serve as a placing judge with J. J. Graddy and A. R. Winters. Fred Burton again will be clerk of the scales, with Waller Jones and George Swain as patrol judges. William Hamilton is the starter, and William Cunningham the timer. Brown Is expected here in about ten days to take over his duties. A. L. Darnaby, local horseman, has a stable of five in preparation here for various owners, including King Zev, Star Soldier and Black Noah, three-year-olds, and Noticing and Skekurvian, two-year-olds. EIGHT HOME-BREDS. J. B. Respess, Erlanger, Ky., owner and breeder, who has been a regular attendant during the training sessions for some time, will be represented by eight home-breds during the meeting. They are being trained by B. J. Everman and are headed by Main Man, a Kentucky Derby eligible. Black Arrow, Gorgeous Lady and Snow Fairy are the other older horses in the Respess string, while the juveniles were sired by Busy American and Byrd. Everman also has in his charge Hil-fair, Ballah and the two-year-old Hildress for W. W. Stone, Motsivard for T. J. Davis and Stepahead for Ridge Stock Farm. Ten horses, headed by the veteran campaigner Vitamin B., are being prepared at Keeneland by C. H. Ferguson. Miss Wise and Pierre Andre are other older horses in the stable, owned by A. L. Ferguson, Georgetown, Ky., patron, the juveniles being Dinna Do, b. f, by Jock Reprove; Storm Warning, gr. f, by Kiev Thunder Flash; Shining Heels, blk. I, by Flying Heels Glimmer, and Betsys Babe, b. f , by Vito Our Betsy. Josh, . owned by Mrs. H. C. Herndon and A. L. Ferguson; Executrix, property of Mrs. C. H. Ferguson, and Nance, a two-year-old bay filly by Victorian Nancy Alyea belonging to R. H. Anderson, are others in Fergusons charge. IN GANOS CHARGE. S. S. Gano is training Judge Barkley, John Allen, Prenny, Winforme and Wise Joyce for his own account. The latter trio are two-year-olds. J. J. Greely, Jr., brought in for further training from Shandon Farm seven horses, including Burning Star and Gold Flag, Kentucky Derby eligibles belonging to P. A. and R. J. Nash, Chicago sportsmen. Bright Light and Official, four-year-olds, and Dick-erville, br. c, by Sun Flag Spice; Shandon Queen, ch. f, by Burning Blaze Golden Lassie II., and Berea, the latter three being two-year-olds, complete the string.
