I LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES f $ Two juveniles, Lookaway, a chestnut son of Whiskaway and Eleanor Hern and an unnamed bay daughter of Kal Sang and Elizabeth Sullivan, are included in the string of six Lee Miles is training here. The others are the older Teddy Boy, Ariel Gold, Happy Chatter and Abby B. Silversmith and several others, owned by Mose Goldblatt, are being taken over by that turfman on his return from Miami. Silversmith spent the entire winter at the Downs. The stable of Arthur W. Mack, Cleveland patron, arrived at Douglas Park from Keeneland several days ago. Trained by Jasper Harney, one of the younger Kentucky horsemen, it includes Hustle Along, Terracotta, Mere Blaze and the two-year-old Gray Mack. The latter is a son of Kiev and Wega. For Mrs. H. F. Berry of Dayton, Ohio, Jack McGovern is training three two-year-olds at the Douglas Park course. They are Little Jean, chestnut daughter of Morvich Peggy Zabriskie; Herb, a bay son of Morvich Golden Lynn, and Berry, a bay colt by Dominant and Ginette. The Kentucky Derby of 1922 was won by Morvich. The winter campaigned division of J. C. Gillems stable, now at Douglas Park, consists of Red Raider, Miss Adams, King Carl, Golden Ariel, Buddie Miller and Lady Lorene. Others to be raced by Gillem during the coming season will be shipped here from Lexington later in the month. Another recent addition to the Douglas Park colony was the band in charge of J. T. Simmons. Shipped here from New Orleans, it consists of Thunder Lou, Mohawk Cherokee, Palm Island, Capt Nadi, Scout Lass and Star Banner. W. J. Sprow, of Dayton, Ohio, is the owner. Gerald having shipped here in good style, trainer Williams plans to resume his training without delay. As a result of his winter campaign Gerald may not require as much preparation as those candidates not under colors during the winter, although he thrives on work. The Furst star was accompanied here by seven others owned by that Chicago patron. They were the three-year-old filly Clouds and the two-year-olds Paper Son, Day Break, Presidential, Sea Scout, Million Bucks and Little Flag. The latter won her only engagement in California, while the other two-year-olds have never started. Paper Son is a candidate for the Bashford Manor Stakes, the principal juvenile event on the Downs spring program. Trainer Ed Snyder gave Henry H. Cross The Runner and Knights Plume three-quarters gallops, the former going In 1:19 and the latter in 1:22. Heuvelton and John Francis, nominees belonging to T. H. McCaffrey, also were in action over the six furlongs distance. Working in company, they ran the three-quarters in l:20i and were on even terms throughout. A. C. Ernsts Albubble was sent three furlongs in :37.
