4 Dodgers Extend Winning Streak to 13 Straight BROOKLYN, N. Y., Aug. 20 UP.. Carl Erskine shut out the Giants today for the second time in a week as the Dodgers extended their winning streak to 13 games with a 10-0 triumph that included three home runs. Erskine, in winning his 15th game against five defeats, gave up only four hits and struck out six batters to increase his total to 144, second highest in the league. The Dodgers supported him with an 11-hit attack that included circuit blows by Jackie Robinson, Junior Gilliam and Bobby Morgan and three singles by Duke Snider.
