PERMAN, never far back, drifted out at the stretch turn, responded willingly when straightened for the drive and wore down the leaders in the last 70 yards. PEACOCK -ANN began fast, set the pace until inside the stretch but could not withstand PERMAN. MANI SWEEP raced evenly to the stretch but could not get to the top pair when set down in the drive. NIGHT CABLE engaged PEACOCK ANN to the final furlong, then weakened. SU-JAY tired after racing forwardly placed in the run to the stretch. YO-HO-HO was never dangerous. GRANDPA LOUIE was outrun. BEGONIA showed nothing. LADY OKLA began sluggishly. BUBBLING GOLD was through early. SLUMBERLAND took command at once, saved ground while setting the pace to the stretch uder pressure from MISS 2ILT, then responded readily during the drive and held SLAMMURING safe. The latter, never far back, closed willingly under punishment, but could not reach the top Tne. ONWARD MARCH lacked early foot, but finished strongly. MISS 2ILT swerved repeatedly after the break, engaged SLUMBERLAND for five-eights of a mile, then faltered. MISS OMARA began sluggishly. FLASHYKAY, on the outside throughout, could not seriously threaten the leaders. LIEBESKIND could not keep up. PATMO raced wide. HOPEFUL SUE tired after showing early speed. WHAMMO, never far back, gradually worked way forward, responded to brisk urging entering the stretch and, disposing of FLYING TASSLE, won going away. FLYING TASSLE took an early lead, set the pace to the final furlong but could not stay with WHAMMO, although much the best of the others. TRE TIO began fast, raced evenly for a half mile, then faltered during the drive. LAMBENT was outrun and had no mishap. KING FREEDOMS was never dangerous and pulled up lame. BIG DANCE could not keep up. INCHCOBAR broke down after going three-eighths mile and was humanely destroyed.. Overweight Tre Tio, 3 pounds. Inchcobar claimed by Mcs. W. Zakoor. CELERITER, away sluggishly, and outrun to the last three-eighths mile, was sent to the middle of the track for the drive, and responding to brisk I urging, wore down WAR DOLLAR to win going away. WAR DOLLAR took an early lead, entered the stretch k with a good advantage and held on willingly but was not good enough for CELERITER. CATTARAGUS lacked f early foot but finished fairly well under punishment. TEACHER K. was outrun and had no excuse. FLINT r NIGHT began fast but dropped out of serious contention immediately after the start. HASTY BEE could not i. keep up. JERRY MY BOY failed to stay after displaying early speed.
