Report Cassidys Resignation DEL MAR, Calif., Aug. 20. It is reported here that Wendell Cassidy will not take over as presiding steward at the hew Las Vegas track when he concludes his duties here at Del Mar. Informed sources state that Cassidy dispatched his resignation to Las Vegas officials by air mail special delivery on August 14, but thus far no announcement concerning his successor has been forthcoming from the Nevada organization.
