Stewards Rulings HAZEL PARK, Mich., Auff. 20. The board of stewards issued the following ruling today: "For falsifying his weight to the clerk of scales and attempting to cheat the scales Friday, August 14, jockey Herbert Litzenberger is suspended for the remainder of the meeting. Effective August 20 through October 10, 1953." FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., Aug. 20. The stewards this morning suspended apprentice Carl Daigre-pont for 10 racing nights, August 21 to A September 3, inclusive, "for failing to keep a straight course during the stretch run and for interfering with the horse Foxy V. during the running of the fifth race on Wednesday night, August 19." Daigrepont was astride M. H. Van-Bergs Sister Cora. An objection was posted by the stewards after she had won the race, but the original placing was made official. and RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, Aug. 20. The Randall Park stewards issued the following ruling here today: "Groom Jack Young is denied the privileges of the Randall Park race track for causing a disturbance in the stable area and for assaulting a guard. "Young was arrested and adjudged guilty of being drunk and disorderly conduct on August 12, 1953. Young was found to have been working in the stable area without a license or stable pass. "It is recommended to the Ohio State Racing Commission that this ruling be made permanent." LINCOLN, Nebr., Aug. 20. The stewards yesterday issued the following rulings: "For failure to keep his mount Peppy J. straight, through the stretch, during the running of the third race on August 19, jockey Charles Guinup is fined 0. "For failure to keep his mount Day-Moon straight, through the stretch, during the running of the fourth race on August 19, apprentice jockey Everett Hammond is fined 0." SCARBOROUGH DOWNS, Scarborough, Me., Aug. 20. The stewards issued the following ruling here today: "Jockey apprentice Joseph Borst is suspended for 10 racing days, effective August 21, 1953, to September 1, 1953, inclusive, for failing to maintain a straight course during the stretch run in the second race, Wednesday, August 19, 1953. Jockey apprentice Borst is denied the privileges of the grounds during racing hours." LONG BRANCH, Ont., Aug. 20. , The stewards here issued the following ruling: "For causing interference approaching the half-mile pole during the running of the sixth race on Tuesday, August 18, when astride Sylvan Rock, jockey Nick Combest is suspended for five days August 22-27, inclusive. Jockey Combest will be allowed to ride out any stake engagements he may have on file." VANCOUVER, B. C, Aug. 20. The Exhibition Park stewards announced the following ruling: "For an unsatisfactory ride on his mount Vally Band in the seventh race on Tuesday, August 18, jockey Richard Rossall is hereby suspended for life and refused all privileges of the course."
