Election of Arthur E. Pew, Jr. SARATOGA, Saratoga Springs, N. Y., Aug. 20.-r-At a meeting of the board of stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association held at Saratoga Springs today, Arthur E. Pew, Jr., of Bryn Mawr, Pa., was elected to membership in the -association. Mr. Pew a noted industrialist, has been a strong supporter of hunt racing for several years, and led this division of the cross-country sport in 1952 with 14 wins. Thus far this year, his horses have scored in 16 .races, and with the fall season yet to come, Iiis stable may set new record for the hunt meeting sport. Mr. Pew has also been active as chairman of the Rose Tree race committee at Media, Pa., for the past two years, where each spring and fall a colorful days racing is run.
