GREAT NIGHT could not K ,better his position when set down through the stretch. SISTER BIGGER, bumped at the break by CAN PAC, raced well when straightened up and made a good bid in the early stretch, then weakened. SMOOTH PALM was never prominent Hf GAIL failed to stay after engaging ETERNAL SHOCK to the stretch. HUMPHREY was unable to better his position when set down through the stretch. LEADING MAN began alertly,, engaged ROYAL BONES for a half mile, then gave way. LIABILITY, bothered at the first turn by PIRAGUA, displayed brief speed when clear, then weakened. CALM BAY, in hand to the last three-eighths mile, was sent to the middle of the trackfpr the stretch run and, closing strongly, was up to dead-heat with INKY RACER for first. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, took command approaching the stretch, held on gamely when set down in the drive and lasted to finish on equal terms with CALM BAY. JANE FORST went to the front early, gave way to INKY RACER when near the final turn, then closed gamely but was not good enough for the top pair. HENRYS FIRST was outrun. LA MOTHE showed nothing. QUEENS MYRTLE was far back the entire trip. JACFER, fractious during the post parade, galloped off five furlongs before entering the stall gate, then began alertly but failed to stay after displaying brief speed. SPY RING saved ground to the last quarter mile while under steadying restraint, then was unable to reach the leaders when set down in the drive. HIERAPOLIS faltered during the stretch run. LUSCIOUS FRUIT could not keep up after showing early speed. SENATOR GUY was through early. BLUE MIRAGE set the pace for three-quarters mile, then gave way when challenged by ISLE SEA.
