Applications Made for 1,269 Stalls for ThistleDown Meet THISTLEDOWN, Warrensville, Ohio, Aug. 21. Assistant racing secretary Raleigh Leigh, who is handling stall applications for the coming ThistleDown race meeting, stated that through today he had received applications from 205 different trainers, including several from Canada and Colorado. A total of 1,269 thoroughbreds were listed by these applications, with quite a few who are prospects for the ThistleDown stakes among those scheduled to race here. In addition, space has already been requested for 59 ponies, and the ThistleDown management is seriously considering staging a pony race as an added attraction on . opening day, Friday, September 11.
