One Hitter Breezes Six Furlongs in 1 :14 at Spa Greentree Campaigner Is Eased Up Another Quarter in 1:41 4 SARATOGA, Saratoga Springs, N. Y., Aug. 20. Greentree Stables One Hitter, who has. been training on the stables private track and stepped his customary mile there on the week end, breezed an impressive six furlongs in 1 : 14 on the main track, here this morning. The son of Shut Out, who is pointing for Saturdays Saratoga Handicap at a mile and a quarter, eased up another quarter in 1:41. Llangollen Farms Porterhouse, who was disqualified after winning last Saturdays Saratoga Special, indicated that he may have benefitted from that race when he brezed a half in :48. The"lig son of Endeavour II. had not been a particularly good work horse earlier this meeting and had missed a work before the Special. Cain Hoy Stables Turn-to, who was awarded the Special by the stewards, went five furlongs in 1:01 yesterday, instead of just three furlongs in :36 as previously reported. Mrs. Ben F. Whitakers filly champion, Grecian Queen, went a handy six furlongs . in 1:14. The daughter of Heliopolis, who is aiming for next Wednesdays Alabama Stakes at a mile and a quarter, worked alone, reeling off the fractions in :36, :48 and 1:01 with speed in reserve. Like Native Dancer in the American Derby, she will have to have -a new jockey while Eric Guerin is under suspension, with Ted Atkinson the likely pilot. James Cox Bradys Artismo, a half-brother to the Metropolitan Mile winner, Casemate, and winner of the Sapling Stakes at Monmouth last out, breezed a half in :49 this morning. The son of Goya II. was freshened a bit when coming here from New Jersey and is pointing for the Hopeful Stakes" on closing day, August 29.
