Naheem Tries for Third Success of Dade Meet i Chance Sun Colt Clashes With Gilded Right and Assimilate By J. J. HAHN Staff Correspondent- DADE PARK, Henderson, Ky Aug. 20. Beginning tomorrow the 29-day meeting of the Dade Park Jockey Club swings into its second half and a better-than-averige seven-race program has been carded. Heading the racing menu is the Sealy Purse a six-furlong affair that drew seven propec--tive starters and to be used as the fifth while the St. Joe Purse, another six-furlong I dash, in which half a dozen are entered; is to be used as the supporting number. One other non-claiming race, a maiden affair. for two-year-olds is also billed. Naheem, a four-year-old who made hi! bow to racing at this track and earned tWc : straight starts before going down to defeatj last Saturday in the Governors Handicaps will be trying for his third win of the meet-v ing in the Sealy. Scheduled to match strides with him are Gilded Right, Assimilate, Milli Victor, Dr. Jay, Senecas Coin and Brownie Lady. The first named three are winners at the meeting. Under the conditions of the race the son of Chance Sun is being asked to pickUT 122 pounds, giving from seven to 22 pouriaq to his rivals. Dr. Jay, a consistent campaigner, is next at 115 and is followed by Senecas Coin, at 111. Assimilate gets in at, 110 while Gilded Right and Milli Victor drew 109 each. The lightweight of the field is Brownie Lady, getting in at the feather impost of 100. In the secondary feature, four of the half dozen entered are winners at this meeting. They are Fruition, Gerties Last, Boerian and Oatburner. Time Sir, who has been threatening and Sospiro, who has not come up to expectations, make up the remainder of the race. The maiden affair has drawn 13 entrants and it is the largest field of non-winners under conditions to enter in nearly two weeks. Some fine prospects are entered in this five furlongs dash and it should develop into an interesting contest. f A pair of distance races are also on the card. The sixth is at one mile and 40 yaitisH while the finale is over the one mile dls- tance. Capacity fields make up both events. 1
